More work at garden

Delbert and Jeff have been working tirelessly on the bridge and stone work and plowing and planting the garden. The 1973 Massey Ferguson tractor that we have had for so long finally needed some TLC. It's now back on site with new brakes, power steering replaced and a new seat. Dad bushhogged all the pastures in the 21 acres and he was plum tired after that! This is a young man's job but he is still able to get out there and do it being in his 70s! Life on the farm...always something to do and a lot of work but it's fun and satisfying. Getting ready for this weekends wedding. Looks like it will be gorgeous and weather close to 80 degrees!

North Georgia's newest Wedding and Events Venue

Mountain Laurel Farm is a brand new wedding and events venue in the Northeast Georgia Mountains of Cleveland, Georgia just 5 miles from Alpine Helen. Mountain Laurel Farm is antebellum, country couture and rustic shabby chic all rolled into one venue…very versatile with multiple wedding ceremony sites and reception locations for you to choose from.

Our restored turn of the Century Farmhouse dates back to 1914 and encompasses authentic southern charm of days gone by. The current accommodations are pleasing with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. The Carriage house  is adjacent to the Farmhouse providing 2 bedrooms and 1 bath.

This summer we began restoration of the barn area, which will provide the perfect backdrop for creating any style of wedding, reception or event. We are very happy to showcase our historic property and we have also been given the opportunity to make Mountain Laurel Farm back into a working farm it used to be with growing fresh produce, fresh flowers and livestock. Our farmers will be providing opportunities for the public to come and pick their own during certain times of the year. We also look forward to providing spa services to those who lodge with us.

We will begin to introduce the barn and the hobby farm to the community and the event industry in the Spring of 2014. We would love for you to consider us for your next event or lodging opportunity!  Please reach out to us! http://www.mtnlaurelfarm.com
