Roles and Responsibilities -- Who Pays For What?
MAID OF HONOR and BRIDESMAID'S duties:

Purchase the bridesmaid dress and footwear, and be prepared to pay for professional hair and makeup services.

Be ready to spend some time and labor several months before the wedding

Attend pre-wedding and post-wedding festivities

Provide a shoulder to lean on

Assist in planning the wedding shower and contribute financially (whatever you can afford)

Keep a record of bridal shower gifts/wedding gifts received for the bride and groom to write their thank you notes

Give a toast at the rehearsal dinner or wedding

Oversee makeup and hair session with the bride and bridesmaids

Make sure that the bridal party leaves for the ceremony on time and that the bride and bridesmaids have their bouquets

Touch up brides' makeup throughout the day. Make sure to carry the touch up kit provided by the makeup artist
BEST MAN and GROOMSMEN'S duties:

Attend the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner

Host and attend the bachelor party

Welcome and seat guests at the ceremony

Hand out programs to the guests at the ceremony

Participate in the garter toss

Secure the rings before the ceremony

Decorate the getaway car -- " just married"
PARENTS OF THE BRIDE'S (very traditional) duties:

Pays for the wedding expenses, unless other arrangements have been agreed upon

Father walks his daughter down the aisle or parents walk their daughter down the aisle

Toast the bride and groom

Father dances with the bride following the official first dance OR
-
Father dances with his daughter first, then hands his daughter to his son-in-law for the official first dance
PARENTS OF THE GROOM'S duties:

Hosts the rehearsal dinner, unless other arrangements have been agreed upon

Toasts the bride and groom at the rehearsal dinner

Toasts and thanks the bride's family for hosting the reception, unless other arrangements have been agreed upon
